Careers.

We do not have funded openings posted today. We build counter-UAS interceptors and sensors, and when funding lands we would rather already know who we want to call. If the work sounds like yours, send us a note and we will stay in touch.

Working Here

We are based in Fayetteville, Georgia. Some roles will work remote and some will need hands on hardware once hardware exists, and we will be straight with you about which is which.

01

You will own a subsystem

Nobody hands you a bounded ticket. You take a domain, its open questions, and the job of defending it in front of a customer.

02

We are pre-hardware

The work today is design and analysis. Building starts when a contract funds it. If you need to be turning wrenches this quarter, this is not that job yet.

03

Careful about what we claim

Modeled results get called modeled, and nothing is written as tested until it has been tested. That discipline matters here more than speed does.

02Open Areas

Disciplines.

Guidance, Navigation
and Control

Flight dynamics, aerodynamic modeling, autopilot design, and state estimation for a small guided round.

Propulsion and
Airframe

Solid rocket motor integration, structural design and qualification, and the mechanical work around carriage and release.

Embedded and
Flight Software

Real-time flight code, sensor interfaces, and computer vision running on embedded hardware under hard timing constraints.

RF and Sensors

Radar and electro-optical sensor design, antenna integration, and sensor fusion inside a tight size, weight, and power budget.

Test and
Manufacturing

Instrumentation, environmental and flight test, and the path from prototype to producible hardware at cost.

Contracts and
Programme

Government contracting, proposal and cost volume work, compliance, and supply chain management.

03Register Interest

Tell us who you are.

This goes straight to the founder. We read everything that comes in. We will not have a role for most people who write, and we will say so rather than leave you waiting.

PDF preferred. Please do not send anything export-controlled, classified, or proprietary to a current employer.

We use what you send only to evaluate fit at Martel Defense and we do not share it. See our privacy notice.

Eligibility

Some roles will involve access to export-controlled technical data. Where that applies, the role may require U.S. person status as defined under ITAR 22 CFR 120.62 and the EAR at 15 CFR 772.1, and some work may require eligibility for a security clearance. We will tell you which constraints apply before you invest time in a process.

Martel Defense is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
